Shattered Dreams, Hope Prevails

Any true Redskin fan is proud of what our team managed to accomplish this year, despite some rash decisions and loss to the Seahawks Sunday in the first home Wild Card game for the Redskins in over a decade.  Needless to say, I would have preferred to see a healthy RG3 go against that over-rated Seahawks defense.  Early in Sunday's game, the knee began to really seem to bother RG3, yet coaches looked the other way.  I respect a player for playing hurt...hell, they all do, at some point, but to allow a franchise QB to go out there, UNABLE to perform under the most basic of standards, is a very poor coaching decision....with that said, RG3 also needs to trust his team, back-ups and all, that if he is unable to compete, he should say so.  RG3's selfish actions cost him damage to an already damaged knee and contributed to our loss Sunday.  So, the guy does has some learning left to do.  We can't expect him to come into the league with all the knowledge of a playoff QB.  There is no doubt that this team, lead by our healthy back up Cousins, could have won this game, especially if schemed and practiced for....but, as they say, "It's water under the bridge."  Let's just hope that RG3 was not allowed to trash his knee and that the core of this team comes back to try this again next year.  This team did not leave this year completely empty handed....we won the NFC East, regarded as the toughest division in football.  Beside all of the accolades on the field, this team has restored pride back to the greater DC area and throughout the nation....Redskins Pride!  You can not buy, sign, or trade for pride....it only comes through true heart, effort, and determination.

Looking forward to a fun off-season and many great seasons to come.

Proudly...

Hail to the Redskins
