Respect Thy Team

The recent release of Chris Chester and DeSean Jackson missing OTA's makes me think of how some fans disrespect players, despite their hard work and dedication to their craft and the game we all love to watch.  When news of D-Jax missing OTAs came out many fans instantly starting bashing him. As soon as new of Chris Chester's release hit, the bashing started again.  Real fans should treat our players better.  Of course I hoped to find a better alternative to Chester...of course I want every player to show up for every OTA (voluntary or not)...but make no mistake, both those guys are hard workers and good teammates. Sure, Chester was playing well beyond his prime, but he started 64 straight games, practiced hard, and is just a really nice guy...no need to disrespect the man...not his fault the Redskins held on to him for so long...he was just doing his job the best he could.  D-Jax has a history of missing voluntary work-outs...and was an expected absence (from how the team reacted).  No need for fans to read too far into that.  I want progress...and that will take players being pushed out of jobs, but make no mistake, the NFL has no scrubs.  They all work hard...it is the only way to get to the NFL level.  Got to respect the good people in this league.
