Off-Season Thoughts

Hail to the Redskins!  A lot of change in DC football this off-season...change we should feel good about.  New GM Scott McClaughlin, New DC Joe Barry, New DB's coach in Perry Fewell, new OL coach Bill Callahan, a new QB coach Matt Cavanaugh and QC coach Dave Ragone, the departure of many players...change is in the air.  Coming off a dismal season, change was needed and practically inevitable.

On the on-set of free-agency, still buzzing from the combine, the future looks bright for the Redskins...after all, there is no place to go but up.

A few things I am hearing about have me cautiously optimistic about even our QB position...as both Cousins AND Griffin are working harder then ever this off-season.  The coaching staff additions on the offensive side tell me there is a focus on improving both the QB play and the playing conditions and protection.

The drafts looks to provide quality players well into the later rounds...and this year, we actually have some decent picks (holding the 5th pick).  If you look at past McClaughlin drafts, they all come off "wise", especially looking back 2 years later.

The first moves this off-season all have left us in a better position for the future.  Sometime in this business, you lose players, coaches...people you like.

Winning doesn't care who fans like.

...and what fans want and deserve is WINNING.

Hail to the off-season, folks!

Hail to the Redskins!
