#Redskins vs Lions - A Few Observations

Despite playing a little better on offense, the Redskins dropped to 0-3 for the first time since 2001 against a Lions squad ripe to be beaten.

I am not going to micro-manage and pick apart this game...but here are a few observations:

We need to keep running the football.  Two quality backs and can not manage to establish the run...come on man.

Griffin is noticeably slower and still hesitant to run.

Griffin needs to do a better job protecting the football...which includes wild passes.

Santana Moss just keeps making plays...Garcon too!

Our secondary is just not playing well.  When Rambo left, they could just not stop the pass.

If our defense could improve on 3rd down, we would start winning games.

Orakpo is horrible versus the run and isolated in pass coverage.

I wish we ran a 4-3...just saying.

Our D-line has to play better.

For most of last year, and almost all of this year, we blitz like crazy and get little in return but points scored on us.  That tells me this is not just player performance issue but really defensive scheme deficiencies.

Is it just me or has our secondary play gotten worse under Raheem Morris?

Still love my Redskins and have to think we will turn things around.

Hail to the Redskins!
