#Redskins vs #Ravens - Game Preview

I am a huge Redskins fan.....though I have been distracted as of late in dealing with some health issues my wife has been going through...but like all people in situations like this, the show must go on.

The Redskins shined on both sides of the ball the last two weeks, coming off a huge win against the NFC leading Giants, drawing closer to a run for the playoffs....in the way next are the Ravens, it what is shaping up to be another super game.

The Ravens have won a few close games recently, despite heavy injuries on defense.

So, what should we watch out for?

The Ravens can run the football and through the deep ball pretty well, which combined can be a lethal combination. To win, the Redskins must again prevent the deep play. Good news is that our run defense is holding strong...our run package rivals just about any run-stopping 3-4 I have seen play the game...so we should be pretty good against the run.

Our recent pass coverage against opposing TEs has not been great, and Flacco loves hIs possession guys, so the Redskins need to use that weakness as an advantage, dropping help from over the top on designed plays to the TE.

Scoring points on offense and denying touchdowns will win this game....get ahead and force the Ravens offense into passing situations....then get a smidgen of pass rush.....Flacco will make mistakes if he has to rely on his arm.

I expect to see more pass rush from Rob Jackson, who is developing into quite a nice position player....role players are so important for playoff football.

The Redskins should not have any issue running the ball....so expect yet another big day for Alfred Morris.

What I think this Redskins team has really exceeded in is reestablishing confidence, both with fans and the football world, in general. People do not doubt the quality of football we bring....keep bringing it and, well, you never know.
