#Redskins vs #Browns Game Preview

Our Redskins are taking their momentum into Cleveland to take on the Browns Sunday.  In December, almost every game is a must win and this is no exception.

The Browns have a dangerous and powerful running game...with a host of young, talented receivers and as veteran of a Rookie QB you could get, the Browns are no team to take lightly.  The Browns defense helped to establish the +8 turn-over ratio.  Stat wise, though, they rank in the mid 20's in rushing, points scored, and yards, mainly due to the slow start this year....but still reassuring.

The Redskins are red-hot, coming off three great games that all resulted in victories.  Griffin strained a knee last week, so the biggest news is Kirk Cousins getting his first NFL start....and this guy is a winner and natural leader.  I am confident, excited even, to see our personnel working in a more conventional offense, though, watch out for the surprise trick plays.

So, with another red-hot rookie QB at the help and Uncle Mo' on the our side, what do the Redskins need to do to win?

Run the Ball!  I mention this every week, but it is a huge part of what it takes to win in the NFL....besides, with Cousins starting, it is more important than ever to take the pressure off the passing offense.

Defend the Run!  We can do this...and do this well.  If we can get ahead early, play-calling will work in our favor too.  No team can afford a back like Richardson running wild.

Create Turnovers!  ...by any means necessary....pass rush, disguising coverages, and playing hard.

Smart, but Deadly Offense!  Of course, with Cousins getting his first NFL start, you want to believe the offense will be come on conservative...and chances are it will, for the most part.  I also expect to see Cousins in full control and being allowed to get into a passing rhythm.  My bet is that he gets a few shots to pass the ball down the fields.

I think a few other guys will shine tomorrow.  Let's keep an eye on these guys...I expect to see the have good game tomorrow.

Kirk Cousins - 1st NFL start coming off a good piece of a game.

Santana Moss - When a rookie takes the helm at QB, the Vet WRs usually show up big for them.

Perry Riley - Guy has been playing very, very well...under-rated guy...just watch him flying around out there.

D. Hall - My guess, he gets some turnovers Sunday.

Jordan Pugh - Had a great game last week....sometime injuries help you find a diamond in the rough...and this guy was gleaming last week....I think it motivates him and he brings it again this week.

My guess...

Redskins 35    Browns 20

Hail to the Redskins!
