Path to Victory

OFFENSE

Run The Ball!  Like almost any other Shanahan lead team, victory often rests on the back of the running game.  The Redskins need to find success running the ball early for the rest of the offense to be more effective, even if that means RGIII scrambling.

Find Accuracy In The Passing Game!  No one has doubted the physical skills RGIII brings at QB, but his accuracy and decision making needs work.  Coming off of one of his worst performances to date, he needs to focus on making smart plays and accurate passes for the Redskins to excel in the passing game.

Improved Play-Calling!  Kyle Shanahan had many people scratching there heads with some of the poor play calls the past few weeks.  For the Redskins to succeed, Kyle Shanahan will have to call a better game, make better adjustments, and stop making call that put his offense at a disadvantage.

DEFENSE

Find Consistency!  Statistically, the Redskins defense is one of the worst in the league this year, but still seems to be improving every game.  They have yet to play quality defense for 4 quarters of any game this season and have shown little consistency.  They need to put together a complete game to win.

Press Coverage When Blitzing!  Blitzing by itself is not enough when the defense is picked apart by the short passes, screens, and tight-end plays.  Press coverage can improving blitzing results, create turnovers, and disrupt the quick pass and rhythm of the opposing offense.

Kill Drives!  We have heard it before, “Bend but don’t break”.  The Redskins need to win the battle on 3rd downs, create turnovers, and do whatever it takes to halt drives.

Hail to the Redskins!
