This is the first weekly installment of The Pulse, which aims to address the newest, latest news and concerns of Redskins fans.
Most fans are very happy to have Chris Cooley back on the roster. There are a few "negative Nancy's" in the blogger world, but most are excited to get a real team player back. I do not think any of us wanted Fred Davis to go down to make it happen...but so is the NFL. Cooley mentioned in many interviews feeling great, being in near game shape, and comparing his current form to the 2006-2008 seasons...which is great news if true for Redskins fans. Huge shoes to fill...I think he will hop right back in there and surprise doubters.
In another typical NFL move, Ryan Grant said goodbye and Keiland Williams says hello again. Nice to have a legit FB backup with Young ailing so much.
This week the Redskins announced the Spring Training Facility will be built behind the Science Museum of Virginia in Central Richmond! This is GRRREEEAAATTT news for Central Va fans (like myself). I have planned my vacation days accordingly. I am SO excited to be able to drive 30 minutes to see early football action. I know our area is slam packed with fans too, who will make sure this team feels right at home.
Very little talk this week about our kicker Kai Forbath...which in Washington, DC, is a very good thing.
Adidas is rolling out RG3 T-Shirts and a new shoe...not my style shoe, but I WILL find me a pair of those history making socks.
More to come...
